I have been experimenting with textures again…. thank you to the wonderful Vanessa for her super duper texture.
I found this mammoth serpent in the Snake Temple in Penang. This caged python was about 15 foot long and its body was the same thickness as my thigh. Feeling brave as I was at the time, I decided to jump into its cage and took this photo, as well as having my photo taken with it :-S

If you are thinking of going to Singapore, I highly recommend that you go to Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari if you have a day spare. Its well worth it and its an amazing place.
No cages, no glass….you can see animals roaming as if they were in the jungle…plus a great place to take plenty of shots without worrying about those annoying bars…
…don’t worry..its still perfectly safe.
A friend of mine recently told me about a place called Monkey Forest. A place where Barbary macaques monkeys roam free as they would in the wild without the need of bars or cages.
I had no idea this place existed, so last week I trundled off to visit it.
The whole site is situated within the woodland with a very relaxed atmosphere and I soon started to discover the monkeys exhibiting their natural behaviour. You see them interact with each other, climb trees and there was also a fun session with the baby monkeys trying to push each other off the trees.
As you can expect with monkeys they just don’t sit still for one minute, so I had to wait an age to get this shot. The father sitting their resolute keeping a watchful eye, while the son explores and experiences his surroundings.
If any of you are interested in going there its called Monkey Forest and is located in Trentham, UK.
…..I think I ate too much.
The monkeys in Malaysia can’t seem to get enough of this one type of fruit which they love.
I have no idea what its called, but its kinda spiky on the outside, like jelly (it looks like one of those alien eggs from the Aliens film :-S) on the inside and has a very weird smell to it.
Tigers are the most beautiful creatures in the world.
I was about 6 metres away from this huge untamed creature and the only thing seperating us people was a large dugout area.
He was observing us all very attentively, while each and every step we took was under close scrutiny, monitored carefully with his eyes scanning from side to side.
He then started walking across from left to right as if to say this is my kingdom and laying his boundaries for us all to see.
When entering Jurong Bird Park, these flock of flamingos are one of the first things you will see. All huddled around each other in their flocks, they peacefully and gracefully glide around, in and out of the lake, either in search of food or curiously looking at the many visitors passing by.
The Jurong BirdPark is a world-famous bird zoo wherein there are specimens of magnificent bird life from all around the world, including these flock of 1001 long-legged lovelies of Flamingo Lake.
